REQUEST FOR RELEASE OF FUNDS

On or about November 4, 2024, Clayton County, GA will submit a request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the release of Community Development Block Grant funds under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended (P.L. 97-35) as amended, to undertake the demolition project:

Project Title

Rum Creek Concession/ Restroom Replacement

Purpose

The current concessions stand is outdated and no longer meets the safety standards required for public spaces.

Location

1303 Government Circle, Jonesboro, Ga 30236

Project Description

Remove the existing concession I restroom and replace it with a concrete (vandal resistant) pre-cast ADA accessible modular concession/ restroom in the same location as the existing building.

Project Issues

Make the new concession and restrooms stand accessible for individuals with disabilities. This means implementing features such as ramps, wider doors, and accessible seating areas.
